Production Team Lead

We're recruiting a Production Team Lead for a growing manufacturer of architectural wood doors in Clinton Township, MI. This is a 1st shift, contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential for long-term employment based on business needs and performance.

Position Details

Pay: $28.00-$30.00/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:45 AM to 3:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract-to-hire

Responsibilities

Lead and support a team of approximately six employees in the final inspection department.
Assign daily work and help keep production on schedule.
Ensure finished products meet quality standards before shipment.
Coach and support employees while maintaining a positive team environment.
Communicate production priorities and help remove obstacles throughout the day.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools, including Gemba boards, to monitor production and improve efficiency.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Qualifications

Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience as a Production Team Lead, Manufacturing Lead, Group Leader, Shift Lead, or Manufacturing Supervisor.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize work and keep production moving efficiently.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Gemba boards is preferred.
