We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Order Entry Processor to join a growing team in the Lake County area. In this role, you will help build strong customer relationships while representing the company in a positive, professional, and solutions-oriented manner.
Your daily phone and email interactions will play a key role in customer satisfaction, retention, referrals, and overall sales growth. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, supporting sales efforts, staying organized, and ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer customer phone calls and respond to emails promptly, professionally, and accurately.
- Provide coverage for assigned Inside Sales Representatives during absences.
- Collaborate with team members to manage incoming calls, coordinate workflow, and reduce customer wait times.
- Complete follow-up activities thoroughly and within established timelines.
- Prepare quotes and process customer orders accurately.
- Enter and maintain customer information, confirm orders, and track deliveries.
- Communicate with Inside Sales Representatives regarding pricing and territory-related concerns.
- Escalate customer concerns, order issues, and service matters to the appropriate team members or management.
- Develop a strong understanding of the company's product line, product applications, and compatible products.
- Utilize available resources to answer customer questions and provide product recommendations when appropriate.
- Deliver knowledgeable, professional support that enhances the customer experience and supports sales objectives.
- Maintain organized records, files, pricing updates, and customer documentation.
- Participate in weekly team meetings.
- Perform additional sales support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in customer service, sales support, customer retention, or order processing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and active listening abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
