Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Industrial Engineer to optimize and scale advanced manufacturing processes across additive manufacturing, machining, and post-processing. This role will lead process improvement, industrialization, and capacity planning initiatives while using Lean, Six Sigma, data analytics, and simulation tools to improve quality, efficiency, and production performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong manufacturing experience and a passion for building scalable, high-performing production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own and optimize manufacturing processes across additive manufacturing, machining, and post-processing to support repeatable, high-quality production.
  • Lead process industrialization and New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts, transitioning products from development into full-rate production.
  • Drive root cause corrective action (RCCA) for production and quality issues, implementing sustainable corrective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain process controls, standard work, work instructions, and inspection strategies for critical manufacturing operations.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and data analytics to improve process capability, yield, throughput, and cycle time.
  • Develop KPIs, analyze production trends, and use data-driven insights to identify improvement opportunities and support decision-making.
  • Conduct FMEAs, risk assessments, capacity planning, and production flow analysis to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks.
  • Utilize tools such as FlexSim to model production flow, identify bottlenecks, optimize facility layout and material movement, and support future-state factory planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of industrial engineering or manufacturing experience in a relevant production environment.
  • Proven experience implementing process improvements and structured problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma and RCCA.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, SPC, process capability, data analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Experience with production planning, process optimization, capacity analysis, or manufacturing flow improvement.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
  • Experience with metal additive manufacturing, post-processing, NPI, and/or discrete event simulation tools such as FlexSim is highly preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% are a plus.
