Contract Assembly Associate

Location: Sparta, TN
Pay Rate: $14.40/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Thursday | 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for Contract Assembly Associates for a leading manufacturing company in Sparta, TN. This position involves assembling and finishing components using a variety of hand tools while maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced production environment. Candidates must be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on their feet throughout the workday. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble small parts and product components according to specifications.
• Operate hand tools, utility knives, rasps, air routers, and other assembly tools.
• Trim, deburr, and finish products while maintaining quality standards.
• Inspect completed work and identify quality concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals.
• Report quality or production concerns to supervisors as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned. 

Requirements

• Experience using hand tools preferred.
• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
• Ability to work in a hot manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift 50-100 pounds regularly with assistance when necessary.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work safely around machinery and production equipment.
• Team-oriented attitude and positive work ethic. 

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Frequent use of hands and arms for assembly work.
• Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials.
• Exposure to heat, manufacturing noise, dust, and production-related materials.
• Required use of personal protective equipment as needed.
