We’re looking for a Production Assembly Technician to join our team in Essex, CT, helping build high-quality engine packages from the ground up.
This is more than a typical assembly job. You’ll work with mechanical components, piping, wiring, electrical systems, precision measuring tools, and hand and power tools while learning how complex engine packages come together.
Whether you already have assembly experience or you’re someone who is mechanically curious, dependable, and eager to learn, we want to hear from you!
Location: Essex, CT
Pay: $23/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
What You’ll Do
- Read and interpret assembly blueprints, manuals, and specifications
- Assemble, align, and install components including piping, fixtures, wiring, and electrical components
- Use calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
- Lay out, drill, ream, tap, and cut components as needed
- Inspect, test, and measure completed engine packages to ensure they meet specifications
- Gather and organize materials needed for each build
- Pick, label, locate, and deliver parts while helping maintain accurate inventory
- Perform repairs, rework, or replacement of damaged components when needed
- Safely operate hand and power tools including drills, wrenches, hammers, mallets, chisels, and measuring equipment
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep your workstation organized
- Identify defects and complete quality and production documentation
- Support continuous improvement and problem-solving efforts
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Cross-train throughout the shop and develop skills across multiple production areas and product lines

- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to quickly learn new processes and adapt to different work areas
- Comfortable working with hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Team player who is willing to cross-train and support the team wherever needed
No Assembly Experience? That’s Okay!
We’re willing to train the right person.
If you’re mechanically inclined, enjoy figuring out how things work, and like building, fixing, measuring, and working with your hands, don’t let a lack of direct assembly experience hold you back.
Your attitude, mechanical ability, and willingness to learn could be just as valuable as previous experience.
What to Expect
This is an active, hands-on manufacturing position. You should be comfortable with:
- Frequently lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and twisting throughout a 9-hour shift
- Performing detailed hands-on work requiring good manual dexterity
