Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys figuring out how things work, troubleshooting equipment, and keeping production running smoothly?

We’re looking for a dependable and mechanically minded Process Technician to join a manufacturing team in Centerbrook. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing or machinery experience who wants to take on a more technical role and become a key part of the production operation.

As a Process Technician, you’ll work with high-speed automated equipment, perform setups and changeovers, troubleshoot equipment and process issues, make adjustments, and help identify ways to improve production efficiency and product quality.

You’ll work alongside Production, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and other teams, giving you the opportunity to expand your technical skills while making a direct impact on day-to-day operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Safely operate, monitor, and support high-speed automated production equipment
  • Perform equipment setup, startup, shutdown, changeovers, and adjustments
  • Monitor equipment and process performance and make adjustments to maintain established operating parameters
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues
  • Partner with Maintenance and technical teams to identify and resolve equipment problems
  • Assist with equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and corrective actions
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, production efficiency, and product quality
  • Support the implementation and testing of process and equipment improvements
  • Assist with installation, testing, and startup of new or modified equipment
  • Perform in-process testing and monitor critical process parameters
  • Look for recurring equipment or process issues and help identify opportunities for improvement
  • Follow SOPs, work instructions, production records, MCPRs, and other approved manufacturing documentation
  • Accurately complete equipment logs, batch records, troubleshooting documentation, and production records
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean, safe, and organized
  • Clean and lubricate equipment according to established procedures
  • Follow all applicable safety, cGMP, SOP, and company requirements
  • Communicate equipment, process, and production concerns to the appropriate teams
  • Provide technical support to Machine Operators and production personnel
  • Assist with operator training related to equipment operation, setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting
  • Promote a workplace culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement

What You Bring

  • 1–2 years of experience working with manufacturing machinery, production equipment, or industrial processes; equivalent hands-on experience may be considered
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with equipment setup, changeovers, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and follow SOPs, work instructions, equipment manuals, production records, and technical documentation
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and equipment operation
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and understand process measurements
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
  • Ability to identify problems, determine potential root causes, and take appropriate action or escalate when needed
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to accurately complete technical and production documentation
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a cross-functional team
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities
  • Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and technologies
  • Ability to adapt to changing production needs and priorities

Experience That’s a Plus

  • Pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, chemical, or other regulated manufacturing experience
  • Experience working in a cGMP environment
  • Experience with tablet presses, packaging equipment, or other high-speed automated machinery
  • Preventative maintenance or basic mechanical repair experience
  • Experience with process improvement, root-cause analysis, or continuous improvement
  • Technical training, trade school, or coursework in manufacturing, mechanical technology, industrial maintenance, or a related field
