Shipping & Receiving Associate

Location: Painesville, Ohio

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to support daily warehouse operations. This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
Prepare products and materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and staging.
Verify quantities, product information, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas.
Enter and maintain shipment and inventory information in company systems.
Communicate with drivers, vendors, and internal departments regarding deliveries and shipments.
Assist with inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
Forklift experience is preferred.
Basic computer and documentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Ability to safely lift and move materials as required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift.
Ability to safely handle materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment and follow required safety procedures.
