We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate to join a fast-paced warehouse operation. This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, assisting customers with order pickups, maintaining accurate inventory, and safely operating material-handling equipment.
Unload, sort, inspect, count, label, record, and store incoming materials.
Compare receiving documents and packing lists against purchase orders and physical counts.
Identify and report shortages, damages, or other inventory discrepancies.
Select, inspect, assemble, package, label, and prepare materials for shipment or customer pickup.
Properly organize and load outgoing orders according to company requirements.
Verify shipping documents against customer orders and physical product counts.
Assist customers with order pickups, including C.O.D. transactions when required.
Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
Safely operate forklifts/tow motors, hoists, and other powered or unpowered material-handling equipment.
Inspect equipment and report mechanical or safety concerns to supervision.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Perform general warehouse housekeeping and maintenance duties.
Work in both indoor and outdoor environments and be prepared for changing weather conditions.
Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material-handling experience preferred.
Must maintain forklift/tow motor certification.
Ability to read and understand basic instructions, shipping documents, purchase orders, and correspondence.
Basic written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages.
Strong attention to detail when verifying orders and inventory.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to identify problems and communicate discrepancies to supervision.
Must be comfortable working in a physically demanding warehouse environment.
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting.
Ability to occasionally climb, balance, or work from different positions as required.
Must be able to safely work around warehouse equipment and moving materials.
Must be prepared to work in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
