Our Scarborough client, who specializes in durable protective metal coatings, is looking for a reliable and hard-working Production Shop Manager to join their team!

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily production activities within the powder coating operation
• Learn and understand the complete powder coating process to support future leadership responsibilities
• Supervise, support, and motivate a team of 5-6 production employees
• Perform quality control inspections on finished products, labels, and materials to ensure customer specifications are met
• Conduct quality assurance checks to verify paint finish quality and overall product appearance
• Monitor inventory levels of powders, materials, and production supplies
• Label incoming skids, materials, and completed products accurately
• Coordinate incoming deliveries and outgoing shipments
• Support production line operations and ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and use required PPE
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a Manufacturing, Production, or Industrial environment
• Experience in a Team Lead, Supervisor, or leadership position
• Strong understanding of quality control and quality assurance processes
• Experience working on production lines and within a manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs

Bonus Qualifications:

• Previous powder coating experience (asset)
• Experience supervising or managing manufacturing teams (asset)

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 4:00pm
• Pay Rate: $25-32 per hour (based on experience)
