Seeking a Veterinarian  for a local pet hospital:

 

Summary

The Veterinarian provides a full range of professional veterinary services at a Pet Hospital, including diagnosis, treatment, surgery, client communication, medical recordkeeping, and team leadership. The role requires sound independent judgment, excellent medicine, strong client service, and active contribution to hospital performance and culture. detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex medical examinations; select appropriate, medically sound, and cost-conscious diagnostic procedures.

• Perform routine and specialized surgical procedures within demonstrated competency; seek assistance when appropriate.

•      Interpret laboratory and diagnostic findings accurately and integrate them into patient care.
•      Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical records using SOAP-based documentation standards

• Work cooperatively with technicians, receptionists, management, and fellow veterinarians; actively support hospital flow and team effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited institution.

• Current or immediately obtainable New Mexico veterinary license.

•      Required New Mexico controlled-substance/pharmacy credential and DEA registration.

• Current professional liability coverage as required by Company policy.

• Physical ability to safely perform the essential functions of clinical veterinary practice, with reasonable accommodation where required.
