Experienced Welder – Fluxcore & Metalcore (GMAW/FCAW)

Our client, a well-established manufacturer specializing in fabricated steel products and custom fabrication, is looking for experienced Fluxcore and Metalcore Welders to join their growing team.

Location: Guelph, ON
Job Type: Full-Time, Evaluation Hire
Shifts: Days Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–4:00 PM; Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM

Our client, a well-established manufacturer specializing in fabricated steel products and custom fabrication, is looking for experienced Fluxcore and Metalcore Welders to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

• Perform Fluxcore (FCAW) and Metalcore (GMAW) welding
• Weld various thicknesses of steel in multiple positions
• Set up and operate welding fixtures and equipment
• Prepare welding joints according to drawings and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings and welding symbols
• Perform gauging/back-gauging using air carbon arc
• Use hand, power, hydraulic and pneumatic tools
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of welding experience Required
• Minimum 3 years of Fluxcore and Metalcore experience
• Experience with FCAW and GMAW
• Experience welding in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions
• Ability to weld various thicknesses of steel
• Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and symbols
• Must have or be able to successfully pass a CWB weld test
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
