Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a local manufacturing company seeking a dependable CNC Operator to join their team! This is a full-time, Monday–Friday opportunity on a day shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while producing quality parts to print specifications.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC and manual machining equipment to produce finished products according to shop orders, prints, and drawings.
  • Set up and operate CNC machinery and make basic program adjustments when appropriate.
  • Read and understand basic CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical prints.
  • Perform machine changeovers and in-process quality inspections.
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and protractors to verify product specifications.
  • Operate machinery according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
  • Monitor tool lengths and offsets to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Operate multiple machines simultaneously when required.
  • Accurately count completed parts and complete required data entry.
  • Produce parts according to instructions from the Shift Leader or Production Manager.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Work effectively with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Meet production goals and complete assignments on time, communicating any issues or delays to management.
  • Perform special assignments and other duties as directed.

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred; machine shop or skilled trades experience is a plus.
  • Previous CNC setup and operation experience required.
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional technical education or a 2-year degree is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand basic CAD drawings, blueprints, and prints.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use basic precision measuring equipment, including calipers and micrometers.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Dependable, responsible, and able to follow instructions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift raw materials, finished products, and packaged items weighing up to 60 pounds.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily on a production floor in an indoor manufacturing environment. The position requires frequent interaction with coworkers and may involve working around operating machinery and equipment.
