OVERVIEW

Express seeking a detail-oriented Operator to set up and operate semi-automatic and manual machinery used in the processing and machining of carbon materials. The Operator will perform precision machining operations while ensuring products meet established specifications and quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate manual and semi-automatic machines used to process carbon materials.
• Perform machining operations such as lapping, polishing, grinding, and tool grinding.
• Use cutting tools, diamond grinding wheels, hand tools, and precision gauges.
• Read and interpret blueprints, route sheets, drawings, and work instructions.
• Work accurately to tolerances as precise as 0.0001 inch.
• Perform first-piece inspections and verify products meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot moderately complex mechanical and machining issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all plant safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with cutting tools, hand tools, gauges, and machining equipment.
• Basic knowledge of algebra, geometry, blueprints, and dimensional tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 5 lbs. continuously.
