Located in City Of Industry, CA

Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Buyer for a food company located in the City of Industry. This position is responsible for purchasing raw materials, packaging materials, chemicals, and services from approved suppliers while ensuring all products meet established food quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience with purchasing, inventory management, and supplier coordination, along with strong communication and organizational skills.

Pay Rate: $33.00 – $34.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Track and expedite materials to ensure timely delivery and production needs are met.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Collect and maintain technical specifications and food safety documentation.
• Assist with inventory costing and work closely with accounting.
• Partner with warehouse and production teams regarding material usage, shortages, and issues.
• Review incoming materials to ensure they meet quality and production standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• 1+ year of purchasing, inventory management, or supply ordering experience.
• Experience in food manufacturing or a related industry is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
