Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to efficiently manage inventory, facilitate order fulfillment, and maintain a smooth warehouse operation. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent attention to safety protocols, and the ability to perform heavy lifting with precision. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring timely order picking, accurate warehouse distribution, and overall operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
• Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately track inventory movements and update stock records.
• Perform order picking tasks efficiently by selecting products according to order specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and related equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks, ensuring safe handling of bulky or heavy items in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs when necessary.
• Support warehouse distribution processes by organizing stock locations and maintaining clean, safe work environments.
• Operate clamp trucks for precise handling of palletized loads in tight spaces or specialized storage areas.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries during material handling activities.

Skills

• Proven experience operating forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, within a warehouse setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for order accuracy and inventory management.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Knowledge of warehouse distribution procedures and safety standards.
• Excellent attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory control.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
