Salary: $21 - $25/hour

We are currently seeking an Equipment Operator for our client in Janesville.

This role involves operating forklifts, small loaders or skidsteers, managing the kiosk, and ensuring materials are sorted and processed according to quality standards.

 

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other yard equipment
• Manually unload customer scrap metal
• Perform equipment inspections to ensure safe operation
• Load, unload, and sort materials
• Inspect materials to meet quality standards
• Understand and apply knowledge of material grades and acceptable loads
• Perform basic equipment maintenance
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to work in an outdoor, industrial environment
• Knowledge of scrap metal materials and grades is a plus
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities

Schedule: Full-time 7am - 3pm Mon - Fri

 

Pay: $21 - $25/hour depending on experience.
