Production Associate

Location: Milan, MI
Pay: $20.00 per hour

About the Position

We are seeking dependable, hardworking Production Associates to join our manufacturing team in Milan, MI. This position is ideal for individuals who are comfortable working in an industrial production environment and performing a variety of material handling, packaging, equipment operation, and warehouse duties.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a very dirty industrial work environment. Employees should expect to leave work dirty on a daily basis. The position involves exposure to dust, bulk materials, and other airborne particles. Employees may come into contact with product residue on their skin and clothing during normal job duties. Dust masks and respirators are available and provided for employees who wish to use them.

Schedule

Available shifts:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Night Shift: 7:30 PM - 6:00 AM

Pay

• $20.00 per hour

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
• Package bulk product into 10-50 lb bags and stack bags onto pallets.
• Fill and prepare 3,000 lb super sacks for shipment or storage.
• Perform routine warehouse cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Follow standard repair and troubleshooting procedures when equipment issues arise.
• Notify maintenance specialists when more serious mechanical or operational problems occur.
• Track and record production and equipment performance data.
• Report inconsistencies, equipment concerns, and production issues to management.
• Follow production reports and work instructions with minimal supervision.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work safely in a dusty, dirty industrial environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to accurately follow production reports and work instructions.

Preferred

• Previous manufacturing or production experience.
• Forklift experience (training may be provided for qualified candidates).

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with dust and airborne particles.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
