Automotive Parts Advisor – Dealership

Location: Ocala, FL
Pay: $20.00/hr  (After 90 days when hired on starting salary could be $50k with hourly wage + 1% of Gross Profit in Commissions)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Saturday: 7:15 AM–2:00 PM, every 3rd week

 

 

Are you an experienced automotive parts professional with dealership or retail parts experience? We’re looking for a reliable, customer-focused Automotive Parts Advisor to join a local dealership in Ocala. The ideal candidate will have automotive parts experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both service technicians and retail customers.

What You’ll Do

• Work with service technicians and retail customers to identify and provide the correct parts needed for vehicle repairs.
• Research and locate parts using the StarParts catalog.
• Utilize DealerCONNECT and Reynolds & Reynolds Ignite (DMS) or similar dealership systems.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, technicians, vendors, and dealership staff.
• Listen to customer needs, identify issues, and provide effective solutions.
• Help keep the parts department running smoothly, efficiently, and accurately.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing parts.
• Process parts returns and return cores to manufacturers.
• Perform regular bin checks and help maintain accurate inventory.
• Maintain organized records and ensure parts are properly identified and stored.
• Support the service department by ensuring technicians have the parts needed to complete repairs efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service while helping maximize parts department efficiency and profitability.

What We’re Looking For

• 1+ year of dealership parts/counter sales experience OR prior automotive parts experience required.
• Experience with AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, O'Reilly Auto Parts, or a dealership parts department is preferred.
• Familiarity with StarParts, DealerCONNECT, and/or Reynolds & Reynolds Ignite is a strong plus.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn dealership software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong listening, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Reliable, dependable, and committed to a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Must have a clean MVR.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.

Training will be provided on CDK and StarParts for candidates who have the right automotive experience and attitude.
