A local machinery shop is seeking an experienced Sawyer to join its growing team. This hands-on manufacturing position is responsible for operating a vertical bandmill and other cutting equipment to produce metal stock according to job specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate a vertical bandmill and other metal-cutting equipment

• Measure, mark, and cut metal stock to required dimensions

• Read work orders, measurements, and basic shop specifications

• Inspect finished materials for accuracy and quality

• Safely load, position, and remove materials from equipment

• Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance concerns

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Follow all company safety procedures and production standards

Qualifications:

• Previous saw operation, machining, fabrication, or metal manufacturing experience preferred

• Comfortable using tape measures and basic measuring tools

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to safely handle metal stock and perform physical work throughout the shift

• Dependable attendance and the ability to work well as part of a team
