Second Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 p.m.–2:30 a.m.

Own Your CNC Mill From Setup Through Inspection

A precision manufacturer is hiring experienced CNC Mill Machinists who can independently operate equipment, complete routine setups, verify first-piece quality, and troubleshoot common machining concerns.

This is a direct-hire opportunity for machinists who understand more than basic button-pushing.

What You’ll Do

  • Independently operate one or more CNC mills
  • Load programs, change tooling, set offsets, and complete routine setups
  • Verify first-piece and in-process quality
  • Read blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and process documentation
  • Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and gauges
  • Monitor machine performance, cycle time, and dimensional accuracy
  • Troubleshoot routine tooling, machining, and quality issues
  • Complete production and inspection documentation
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance
  • Maintain an organized workstation using 5S principles
  • Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Two to five years of CNC machining or CNC operator experience
  • Previous CNC mill operation and setup experience
  • Ability to change tooling and set offsets
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Proficiency with precision measuring equipment
  • Understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Experience

  • Precision, complex, or tight-tolerance components
  • Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Siemens, or similar CNC controls
  • Forklift or overhead-crane operation
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure

Physical and Work Environment

  • Stand and walk throughout a 10-hour shift
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, and grasp
  • Work around moving machinery, metal materials, industrial noise, and varying temperatures
  • Overtime or occasional weekend work may be required

This position may involve access to technical data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Applicants must qualify as U.S. persons under applicable ITAR requirements. Employment sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
