Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Service Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and facility service work across multiple customer locations. This role focuses primarily on commercial HVAC and plumbing systems, along with general building maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, customer-focused, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional service.

The Service Technician plays a critical role in maintaining safe, functional, and efficient facilities by responding to service requests, troubleshooting issues, and completing repairs in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

HVAC & Plumbing Services

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and service work on facility equipment and building systems.
• Identify root causes of mechanical issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Respond to emergency service calls and urgent facility-related issues as needed.

General Building Maintenance

• Complete drywall repairs, including patching, taping, mudding, sanding, and texture matching.
• Perform general facility maintenance and repair work.
• Inspect building systems and facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure operational efficiency.
• Support minor renovation and improvement projects as assigned.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate daily service records, including time on-site, work performed, and project updates.
• Photograph existing conditions and completed work for documentation purposes.
• Submit completed paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding project status, scheduling changes, and service needs.

Inventory & Equipment Management

• Maintain personal tools and equipment required for the position.
• Manage company vehicle maintenance and keep appropriate parts and material inventory.
• Ensure work vehicles, tools, and equipment are organized and service-ready.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe work environment for employees, customers, contractors, and the public.
• Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Promote and support a strong culture of workplace safety.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• Experience servicing and repairing commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience with commercial plumbing maintenance and repairs.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel between customer locations as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC certifications and/or industry-related licenses.
• Experience working in retail, commercial, or multi-site facility environments.
• General maintenance experience including drywall repair, carpentry, and facility upkeep.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces as required.
