We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Maintenance Machine Technician to support the daily operation of an industrial minerals facility. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, completing repairs, and helping minimize production downtime.
The ideal candidate has previous experience working with industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, or mechanical maintenance and is comfortable working in a hands-on, industrial environment.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on production and processing machinery.
Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and identify the cause of breakdowns or performance issues.
Repair and replace worn or damaged machine components, including bearings, belts, motors, chains, pulleys, and related parts.
Assist with maintenance of conveyors, pumps, crushers, screens, and other material-processing equipment.
Perform basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting as experience allows.
Lubricate, adjust, and inspect machinery according to maintenance schedules.
Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and maintenance equipment safely.
Assist with equipment installation, changeovers, and repairs.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and work efficiently to minimize production downtime.
Maintain a clean and organized maintenance/work area.
Follow all plant safety procedures, including proper PPE and lockout/tagout requirements.
Communicate equipment concerns and completed repairs to supervisors and production personnel.
Previous industrial maintenance, machine maintenance, manufacturing, or mechanical repair experience preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Experience with conveyors, motors, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or industrial electrical systems is a plus.
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
Comfortable working around heavy machinery, dust, noise, and other conditions associated with a minerals/industrial facility.
Ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift throughout the shift.
Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
