Aerospace Grinder 

Location: Corona, CA
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Job Summary

A leading aerospace manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented Grinder Operator to join its production team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating precision grinding and honing equipment to machine aerospace components to exact specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with mechanical parts, precision measuring tools, and maintaining tight tolerances in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor honing and grinding machines.
• Machine metal components to exact specifications and tolerances.
• Remove excess material, burrs, and imperfections from machined parts.
• Buff, hone, polish, and finish aerospace components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Adjust machine settings and tooling to achieve required dimensions and surface finishes.
• Load and unload materials and workpieces safely.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Follow all company quality standards, aerospace manufacturing procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping duties within the work area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating grinding, honing, machining, or related manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Trade school training in machining, manufacturing, or a related field is highly desired.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Frequently lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements.
• Comfortable working around machinery and production equipment.
