Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and a passion for quality craftsmanship. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. You will work on diverse projects ranging from residential remodeling to commercial construction sites. The ideal candidate utilizes building and construction skills to create modular housing units and may perform various laborer tasks supporting quality inspection, framing, sorting, installation, drywall, painting, windows, cabinetry, materials handling, and installs or repairs fixtures throughout the facility and in production; and, may have the opportunity learn more advanced processes over time.
Duties
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials according to specifications.
- Assemble furniture or other items as required.
- Perform trim carpentry tasks including installation of moldings and baseboards.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project efficiency.
- Conduct repairs on existing structures including plaster work as needed.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
Skills
- Proficient in plumb techniques to ensure accurate installations.
- Experience with siding installation and repair.
- Strong skills in remodeling projects, demonstrating versatility in various carpentry applications.
- Ability to perform maintenance person tasks beyond carpentry when required.
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
