Maintenance Assistant

Want to start a career in the maintenance industry but don’t know where to begin? This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn the skills needed to grow into a Maintenance Technician role!

 

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Maintenance Assistant to support general maintenance and apartment turnover activities. No prior maintenance experience is required—we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and develop their skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with apartment turns and preparing units for new residents
• Change light fixtures and replace light bulbs
• Replace electrical plate and outlet covers
• Assist with setting and replacing toilets
• Replace and install appliances
• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks
• Assist experienced maintenance technicians as needed
• Complete other general maintenance duties as assigned

Qualifications

• No prior maintenance experience required
• Strong willingness to learn and develop hands-on maintenance skills
• Reliable and dependable
• Comfortable working with basic hand tools
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience with any of the responsibilities listed above is a plus, but not required
