Position: Payroll Specialist

An Infrastructure services company in NE Fort Worth is adding a Payroll Specialist to their team!

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist the Payroll Manager in processing weekly payroll for multiple companies and branch locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness (1500 employees)
• Assist with payroll-related journal entries and reporting for multi-company reconciliation
• Serve as backup for preparing and submitting certified payroll reports in compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act and applicable prevailing wage laws
• Assist in completing and submitting WH-347 forms (or state equivalents) and statements of compliance
• Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws (FLSA, state-specific requirements, etc.)
• Assist with quarterly and year-end payroll reporting, including W-2 preparation and reconciliation

 

Position Qualifications:

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-company or multi-location environment
• Working knowledge of certified payroll and Davis-Bacon Act prevailing wage requirements
• Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and deduction processing
• Experience supporting multi-state payroll compliance a MUST
• Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, or similar systems) and MS Office – especially Excel
• Experience in construction, government contracting, or a similarly regulated industries
