Crane Operator

Salary: $28.00–$30.00/hour

An Edmonton client is seeking a Crane Operator to join their team.

Crane Operator Highlights:

• Operate overhead cranes as a primary part of the role to safely lift, move, position, and stage metal components throughout the shop.
• Rig and secure loads for safe movement using appropriate slings, chains, hooks, and lifting devices.
• Move flanges, fabricated metal components, and other industrial materials between work areas and onto pallets.
• Safely control and position suspended loads around equipment, workstations, and other employees.
• Operate forklifts as required to support material movement throughout the facility.
• Stage materials for production and ensure components are delivered to the appropriate shop areas.
• Assist with loading, unloading, organizing, and positioning materials as required.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and proper lifting and rigging practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of overhead crane operating experience moving and positioning heavy metal components and fabricated materials in an active industrial shop.
• Valid Overhead Crane Certification.
• Experience using slings, chains, hooks, and other rigging equipment.
• Strong understanding of safe load handling and rigging procedures.
• Forklift experience is an asset.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and able to follow instructions.
