Service Technician

Located in Edmonton, AB

Salary: $31.50–$50.00/hour

An Edmonton client is seeking a Service Technician to join their team.

Service Technician Highlights:

• Join a growing team specializing in the diagnosis, repair, rebuilding, and testing of industrial powertrain components.
• Approximately 70% of the role will be shop-based, rebuilding and testing components, with 30% supporting customers on-site.
• Local field service with minimal travel and no extended time away from home.
• Work on equipment used in marine, construction, and industrial applications
• Diagnose mechanical failures and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild transmissions, axles, and drivetrain components.
• Troubleshoot worn bearings, damaged gears, clutch failures, and other mechanical issues.
• Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and OEM specifications.
• Test rebuilt components using OEM test benches and document results.
• Prepare completed units for shipment.
• Perform occasional local field service and provide technical support to customers.
• Participate in daily toolbox meetings.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Contribute ideas to improve shop processes and workflow.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience repairing industrial or off-road equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable using diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals and schematics.
• Basic hydraulic knowledge; training is available.
• Comfortable working around basic electrical systems.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Service Technician Hours & Wage:

• $31.50–$50.00/hour, depending on experience.
• Monday to Friday – 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Minimal overtime, approximately 4 hours per month.
