An Edmonton client is seeking a Journeyman Aluminium Trailer Welder to join their team.

Journeyman Aluminium Trailer Welder Highlights:

• Perform aluminum MIG welding on tank trailers and related trailer components.
• Complete repairs on pipes, barrels, frames, trailer sides, and other structural components.
• Repair existing trailer damage, ranging from minor crack repairs to full panel or side replacements.
• Read and interpret inspection and repair requirements before beginning work.
• Work with stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel in a repair environment.
• Weld material thicknesses ranging from approximately 3/16" to 3/8", with heavier applications as required.
• Perform basic mechanical disassembly and reassembly to access repair areas.
• Remove fenders and trailer components using common hand tools.
• Use wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, grinders, and other shop tools to complete repairs.
• Assist with trailer inspections and repair assessments under the guidance of lead hands and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Welder certification is required.
• Previous aluminum MIG welding experience is required.
• TIG welding experience is considered an asset.
• Previous tank trailer experience is preferred but not required; strong aluminum welding experience from other industries will be considered.
• B620 Inspector or Tester certification is considered an asset.
• Ability to read and understand repair and inspection requirements.
• Comfortable performing basic mechanical work alongside welding duties.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• $41.49/hour
• Monday to Friday – 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
