Pay Range: $17.00 – $28.50 / hour

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking Machine Operators at all experience levels for various industrial, assembly, and production facilities throughout the region. Roles range from entry-level production support to advanced machinery operation and technical setup. Positions are filled on a contract-to-hire basis, with specific pay rates dependent on candidate experience, role complexity, and shift.

General Responsibilities

  • Set up, calibrate, and run production machinery according to standard operating procedures.

  • Monitor equipment during operation to ensure product quality and smooth workflow.

  • Identify minor operational errors, perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, and clear equipment jams.

  • Conduct routine visual and dimensional quality inspections on finished goods.

  • Enter basic production metrics, job notes, or batch details into systems as required.

  • Load, unload, stack, and stage materials using basic tools or material handling equipment.

  • Adhere to all safety rules, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Entry-Level ($17.00 – $20.00 / hr): Basic mechanical aptitude, reliability, and the ability to perform production tasks safely in a fast-paced environment.

  • Mid-Level ($20.00 – $24.00 / hr): Prior experience operating machinery, using basic measuring tools, and completing production tracking.

  • Senior / Technical ($24.00 – $28.50 / hr): Multi-year experience with complex machine setup, equipment maintenance, or specialized technical operations.

General Requirements

  • Ability to stand for the duration of a shift and perform light to moderate lifting.

  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and measuring tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

  • Material handling experience (such as forklifts or pallet jacks) is a plus.
