Maintenance Technician

Located in Edmonton, AB

Salary: $25.00–$27.00/hour

An Edmonton client is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team.

Maintenance Technician Highlights:

• Diagnose and complete basic to intermediate residential maintenance repairs independently.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, P-traps, and related fixtures.
• Repair and replace doors, locks, hardware, and other building components.
• Troubleshoot and complete basic appliance repairs and replacements.
• Complete drywall patching, mudding, sanding, and light painting.
• Repair and maintain window screens, fencing, handrails, and other property components.
• Conduct unit, building, and site inspections to identify maintenance needs.
• Travel throughout Edmonton in a company-provided work van to complete assigned service calls.
• Create, update, manage, and close maintenance work orders.
• Maintain detailed technician notes, repair records, and documentation.
• Follow up with contractors and vendors regarding open work orders.
• Use technology and work order management systems to track maintenance activities and outstanding repairs.

Requirements:

• Previous residential, property, building, or facilities maintenance experience.
• Strong repair skills with the ability to independently diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
• Experience with multiple areas of maintenance, including plumbing, drywall, doors/hardware, appliances, and general property repairs.
• Good technology skills and ability to use work order management systems.
• Professional customer service and communication skills.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with an acceptable driver’s abstract.
• Comfortable driving a company work van throughout Edmonton.
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple service calls and priorities independently.

Hours & Wage:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• No overtime
• $25.00–$27.00/hour
