About the Company

Express Employment is seeking a Temporary Warehouse Supervisor to join a local company in Rock Island, IL.

This position will oversee daily warehouse operations while providing leadership, training, and support to warehouse employees. The ideal candidate will be an experienced warehouse professional with strong leadership skills who can effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead warehouse employees, including training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Oversee receiving, storage, order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory control activities
  • Train employees on work instructions, equipment operation, and safety procedures
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation while ensuring orders and shipments are processed accurately and on time
  • Enforce safety procedures, monitor warehouse equipment, collaborate with other departments, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of related warehouse experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • At least 6 months of material handling and/or forklift equipment experience
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related software
  • Previous warehouse supervisory or leadership experience
  • Experience developing strategies to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity
