OVERVIEW

Express is seeking a reliable and skilled Preventative Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, and property improvements in commercial and residential properties. The role emphasizes interior and exterior painting, along with general maintenance and troubleshooting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Painting & Finishing
    • Perform interior and exterior painting for residential and commercial properties.
    • Prepare surfaces through patching, sanding, caulking, scraping, and priming.
    • Complete minor drywall, trim, door, and wall repairs.
    • Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
    • Protect customer property and maintain clean work areas.
    • Perform touch-ups and color matching as needed.

Preventative Maintenance & Repairs

    • Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance needs.
    • Complete general repairs, including drywall, trim, doors, hardware, flooring, and fixtures.
    • Perform minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs within applicable guidelines.
    • Complete scheduled maintenance and document work performed.
    • Respond to service requests and prioritize repairs based on urgency.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of maintenance, painting, construction, or related experience.
  • Commercial painting and preventative maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience working with property managers, homeowners, or tenants.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
  • Familiarity with work-order or maintenance software is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and work on ladders safely.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely use tools, equipment, paint, and maintenance materials.
