Express Employment Professionals is hiring Process Operators on behalf of our client in Abbotsford, BC. As a Process Operator, you will operate and monitor production equipment used to process raw materials into finished protein-based products. You will be responsible for following production procedures, monitoring equipment and chemical levels, measuring ingredients, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards. Full training is provided, making this a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and build their skills in a manufacturing environment.

Position Details

Location: Abbotsford, BC
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 8-hour shifts

Shifts Available:

  • Day: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Graveyard: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment independently or as part of a team to meet scheduled production requirements.
  • Handle frozen raw materials of animal origin and hazardous materials while following all required safety procedures.
  • Weigh and measure raw ingredients, verify quantities, and accurately document production information.
  • Monitor and record chemical levels to ensure products meet required specifications.
  • Manufacture products according to established specifications, SOPs, and production requirements.
  • Set up equipment and calibrate measuring instruments as required.
  • Monitor equipment during production and identify machine malfunctions or issues.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues where possible and report problems to the Production Supervisor or Maintenance team when required.
  • Maintain product quality and safety throughout the production process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with GMP, regulatory requirements, and SOPs.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions, diagrams, and models.
  • Work safely and effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be 19 years of age or older.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.
  • Comfortable working in a wet and noisy manufacturing environment.
  • Able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg).
  • Good distance vision and colour perception.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
  • Able to multitask and complete required tasks throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing and able to complete up to 4 months of training.

Assets

The following would be considered an asset:

  • Previous manufacturing or pharmaceutical experience.
  • Knowledge of WHMIS.
  • Post-secondary education or additional technical training.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
  • Previous experience working with production equipment or hazardous materials.
  • Residing in Abbotsford or the surrounding area.
