Concrete Quality Technician
Monday - Friday | 1st Shift | $22/hr | TempToHire
We are looking for a detail-oriented Concrete Quality Technician to join our client in precast concrete manufacturing. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working both in a lab and in a manufacturing environment, solving problems, and making sure products meet high-quality standards.
What You’ll Do
Perform quality inspections before, during, and after production.
Test and inspect materials, products, and manufacturing processes.
Enter production and quality information accurately into computer systems.
Identify and report quality issues and work with Production and Quality teams to resolve them.
Read and follow blueprints and production drawings.
Perform measurements, calculations, and basic testing procedures.
Help identify ways to improve materials, processes, and finished products.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab and testing area.
Work closely with production and yard teams to complete timely inspections.
Follow all safety procedures and lead by example.
Continue learning and developing your technical skills.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong attention to detail.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read blueprints and/or production drawings.
Comfortable performing basic math and measurements.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
Preferred:
Previous experience performing concrete testing or working in quality control.
Manufacturing, construction, laboratory, or production experience is a plus.
This is an active position with time spent in both the office/lab and plant/yard environment.
You should be comfortable:
Walking, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and working around equipment.
Handling materials weighing up to 50 lbs. in the plant/yard.
Using hand tools and testing equipment.
Working around dust, dirt, noise, machinery, vehicles, and varying temperatures.
Working outdoors in changing weather conditions.
Pay Rate: Starting at $22/hr
