2nd Shift Manual Machinist

We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist for a long-term opportunity in Sedalia, MO. This position will involve operating various machines and performing assembly work in a manufacturing environment. Training will take place on 1st shift before transitioning to the permanent 2nd shift schedule once the employee is able to work independently.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate various machining equipment

• Perform assembly and machine shop duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, process documentation, and specifications

• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify part quality

• Use proper tooling and gauging to ensure parts meet specifications

• Maintain accurate production records

• Follow established quality and safety standards

• Keep work areas clean and organized

• Perform medium to heavy lifting as needed

Requirements:

• MUST have previous CNC operating experience

• Must have experience using calipers and micrometers

• Manufacturing and machine operating experience required

• Strong blueprint reading skills

• Good understanding of shop math, measurements, and unit conversions

• Knowledge of GD&T preferred

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Reliable and able to work independently

• Ability to perform medium to heavy lifting

• Must pass client background check requirements

Training Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Training Pay: $18/hour

 

Permanent 2nd Shift:
Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM-Midnight
Pay After Transition: $20/hour
