Community Manager
**Location:** North Port, FL
**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch; some Saturdays required
**Pay:** $23.00–$24.00/hour to start, depending on experience, increasing to $25.00/hour after fully trained
**Employment Type:** Temp-to-Hire preferred; Direct Hire may be considered for the right candidate
Position Summary
The Community Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of a 100-unit multifamily residential community in North Port. This is a one-person office, so the ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, professional, and comfortable independently managing the daily needs of the community and its residents.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the apartment community.
Manage resident relations and provide excellent customer service.
Handle leasing activities, including property tours, applications, leases, and move-ins.
Follow up with prospective residents and work to maintain strong occupancy.
Coordinate and process lease renewals.
Address resident questions, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain accurate resident and property records.
Collect and process rent payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
Coordinate maintenance requests and communicate with maintenance personnel and vendors.
Conduct property inspections and help ensure the community is well-maintained.
Assist with marketing and leasing efforts to attract new residents.
Maintain compliance with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, and applicable laws.
Prepare reports and complete administrative tasks related to property operations.
Manage the office independently while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.
Qualifications
At least 1 year of multifamily property management experience in an Assistant Manager or Community Manager role is required.
Strong leasing and customer service skills are required, along with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and handling the day-to-day responsibilities of a one-person office.
RealPage software experience is a major plus.
Compensation & Bonuses
Starting pay is $23.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience, with an increase to $25.00 per hour after successfully completing training.
The position offers a $100 bonus for each new lease initially, with a $60 renewal bonus per renewal once the renewal bonus program is established.
Employees who are permanently hired may also be eligible for an occupancy bonus program.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous multifamily property management experience and be confident taking ownership of a community. They should be professional, dependable, organized, and comfortable handling leasing, resident relations, administrative responsibilities, and the overall daily operation of a 100-unit property independently.
