Salary: $14.00 per hour

Express Employment Professionals seek dependable and motivated General Laborers to join our production team. This position is responsible for assisting with the processing of soiled linens received from customer delivery routes. Associates will work in a fast-paced production environment and must be comfortable handling soiled laundry.

 

This is not a light-duty position and is best suited for dependable individuals who can:

• Handling healthcare linens that contain bodily fluids - Urine, feces, blood, etc.
• Working in a hot environment.
• Being exposed to unpleasant odors.
• Performing physically demanding work for the entire shift.

Compensation: $14.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM

 

Job Overview: This is a physically demanding production position working in a commercial laundry facility. Employees will unload, sort, and process soiled hospital linens, including items contaminated with bodily fluids. The environment can be hot, fast-paced, and may involve strong odors. PPE will be provided

 

Key Responsibilities

•  Unload laundry bags from delivery trucks.
• Lift and place bags into sorting bins.
• Sort and process soiled linens according to procedures.
• Maintain production speed and workflow requirements.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull laundry bags throughout the shift.
• Comfortable handling heavily soiled hospital linens (Urine, feces, blood etc.)
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions for long periods.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Comfortable working in a hot environment.
• Warehouse or production experience is helpful but not required.
• Able to handle unpleasant odors.
• Able to perform physically demanding work for an entire shift.
• No phones or earbuds/headphones
