Position Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator for an automotive manufacturing facility in Winchester, Kentucky. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for moving raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility to support production operations. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Transport automotive parts, materials, and finished goods throughout the production facility.
  • Load and unload trucks while ensuring accurate material handling procedures.
  • Supply production lines with required materials to maintain uninterrupted workflow.
  • Move finished products to designated storage and shipping locations.
  • Conduct daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues to supervisors.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and material movement records.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and warehouse duties as needed.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.

Qualifications

  • Previous forklift experience required; automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Valid forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Basic math and inventory tracking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance record.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Must be able to safely perform repetitive movements and operate equipment for extended periods.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in an automotive or industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems.
