Crane/ Forklift Operator

Located in Lubbock, TX

Salary: 18.00-20.00

The Crane and Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment to move steel components, metal building materials, and finished products throughout the facility. This position supports production, shipping, receiving, and inventory operations while maintaining a safe work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles.
• Transport steel panels, beams, purlins, and construction materials throughout the yard and production areas.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Verify material quantities and inspect products for damage.
• Assist with inventory control and material organization.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Assist production and shipping personnel as needed.
• Complete equipment and material-handling records accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday.
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate heavy equipment for extended periods
