Restoration Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Restoration Worker to assist with restoring residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, smoke, mold, storms, and other property damage. This position involves demolition, cleanup, drying, removal of damaged materials, and assisting with reconstruction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to residential and commercial restoration projects.
• Remove damaged drywall, flooring, insulation, cabinets, and other building materials.
• Perform water extraction and assist with drying and dehumidification.
• Clean and sanitize areas affected by water, fire, smoke, or mold.
• Set up and monitor air movers, dehumidifiers, and other restoration equipment.
• Perform light demolition and construction-related duties.
• Remove debris and properly dispose of damaged materials.
• Move furniture, equipment, and contents as needed.
• Assist with packing, cleaning, and restoring customers' belongings.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site.
• Follow company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Load and unload restoration equipment, tools, and materials.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and property owners.
• Complete assigned projects efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Be available for emergency restoration calls when required.

Qualifications

• Previous restoration, construction, demolition, maintenance, or general labor experience preferred.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
• Must be comfortable working in damaged, wet, dusty, or dirty environments.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attendance and reliability are required.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• IICRC certification is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions.
• Ability to wear respirators, gloves, protective suits, and other PPE when required.

Schedule

Full-time position. Overtime, weekends, evenings, and emergency on-call work may be required depending on restoration projects.
