Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and dependable Lead Ranch Hand to oversee daily ranch operations and help maintain livestock, property, equipment, and facilities. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on ranch experience, good leadership skills, and is comfortable working independently in all weather conditions.

 

Responsibilities
Supervise and assist ranch hands with daily ranch operations
Feed, water, monitor, and care for livestock
Maintain fences, gates, pens, barns, and other ranch facilities
Operate and maintain tractors, ATVs, trucks, and ranch equipment
Assist with cattle handling, sorting, loading, and general livestock management
Monitor livestock health and report injuries or illnesses
Perform general property maintenance, mowing, brush clearing, and pasture work
Help manage ranch projects and prioritize daily tasks
Keep equipment, tools, barns, and work areas clean and organized
Follow safe work practices and ensure ranch employees follow safety procedures
Qualifications
Previous ranch, farm, livestock, or agricultural experience required
Lead or supervisory experience preferred
Experience working with cattle or other livestock
Ability to operate tractors, ATVs, trucks, and basic ranch equipment
Basic mechanical and maintenance skills
Valid driver's license preferred
Must be dependable, hardworking, and able to work independently
Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding work
