Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to operate various types of heavy machinery safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience operating construction equipment, a strong understanding of job-site safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, loaders, bulldozers, and other machinery.
• Perform excavation, grading, loading, hauling, and material-moving activities.
• Inspect equipment before and after each shift and report any maintenance concerns.
• Follow project plans, measurements, and instructions from supervisors.
• Maintain safe operating practices and comply with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Assist with general construction and site preparation duties when needed.
• Communicate effectively with ground personnel and other equipment operators.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Meet production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Ability to safely operate multiple types of heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of construction-site safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Equipment certifications are a plus.
