We are seeking a highly skilled Wiring Technician to join one of our manufacturing client. This role involves assembling, wiring, and testing electrical systems and components to ensure they meet precise specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical experience, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various tools and schematics. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing processes while maintaining high-quality standards. The Wiring Technician plays a crucial role in supporting our production goals through meticulous wiring, assembly, and troubleshooting.

This role is currently not open to students or those who are looking for temporary roles.

Pay Rate: $23.50/hour plus 4% vacation pay

Available Shifts: ( must be flexible to work both shifts)

  • Days: Mon - Thurs 7am - 4:30pm, Fri 7am - 3:30pm
  • Afternoons Mon - Thurs 4pm - 1am, Fri 3pm - 11pm

Responsibilities

  • Interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings to accurately wire components and systems.
  • Assemble electrical panels, control boxes, and machinery using hand tools and power tools with precision.
  • Install electrical wiring in accordance with safety standards, technical specifications, and manufacturing protocols.
  • Use calipers and other measuring devices to ensure accurate component placement and wiring lengths.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues by diagnosing faults within wiring systems and implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with mechanical teams during assembly to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of wiring configurations, modifications, and testing results.
  • Conduct routine inspections of wiring installations to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Support machining processes by preparing parts that require electrical connections or sensor integrations.
  • Follow safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

  • Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems.
  • Extensive electrical experience in manufacturing environments, including wiring practices and troubleshooting.
  • Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly processes and component integration.
  • Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers, and crimping tools.
  • Familiarity with reading schematics, technical diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience working with electrical wiring in complex machinery or control panels.
  • Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently during assembly tasks.
  • Knowledge of machining processes for preparing parts requiring electrical connections.
  • Competence in using calipers for precise measurements during installation.
