Shift: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
Pay Range: $18/hr. 

Position Summary:
The Part Tracer is responsible for accurately tracing the outlines, dimensions, and configurations of parts, assemblies, and templates onto paper, patterns, or other designated materials. This position requires strong attention to detail, precision measuring skills, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure accurate reproduction of part shapes and layouts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Trace outlines and contours of parts, assemblies, templates, and tooling using pencils, markers, or other approved marking instruments.
• Transfer dimensions and shapes from engineering drawings, blueprints, and physical parts to templates or layout material.
• Verify measurements using rulers, scales, tape measures, calipers, and other measuring devices.
• Ensure traced patterns accurately match required specifications and tolerances.
• Inspect completed tracings for accuracy and completeness before submission to production.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, templates, and tracing documents.
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and production personnel to clarify drawing requirements.
• Assist in creating, revising, and maintaining master templates and patterns.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings and physical parts and report issues to supervision.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Qualifications:

• MUST HAVE CLEAN BACKGROUND FOR SECURITY CLEARANCE!
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and measurements.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, aerospace, or industrial production environments.
• Experience working with templates, patterns, or layout drawings.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments and precision tools.
• Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards and inspection procedures.

• Ability to accurately trace complex shapes and contours.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain accuracy while working under production deadlines.
• Ability to identify and resolve minor drawing or template discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and walking.
• Ability to use hands for detailed tracing and measuring tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Visual acuity sufficient to distinguish fine details and dimensions.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing or production facility environment.
• Exposure to moderate noise levels.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
