Job Description

We are seeking a motivated General Laborer / Production Worker to assist with animal feed production, warehouse operations, and loading and unloading materials. This position involves mixing and bagging animal feed, moving heavy products, organizing inventory, and assisting customers with loading purchases. The ideal candidate is reliable, trainable, able to think on their feet, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Opportunities for forklift training may be available.

Key Responsibilities

Mix, bag, and prepare custom and standard animal feeds for retail and wholesale customers.
Load and unload commercial trucks and customer vehicles with grain, hay, and feed products.
Frequently lift and move heavy materials weighing up to 70 lbs. independently.
Operate or assist with pellet mills, hammer mills, mixers, pallet jacks, dollies, and carts.
Organize warehouse inventory and transport products throughout the facility.
Assist with production schedules to ensure customer orders are completed on time.
Maintain clean and organized production, warehouse, and work areas.
Follow company safety procedures and operational guidelines.
Learn new equipment and processes, including potential forklift operation.

Qualifications & Experience

Ability to independently lift and carry up to 70 lbs. throughout the workday.
Comfortable performing repetitive lifting and physically demanding tasks.
Basic math skills and ability to follow English-language instructions.
Must be able to work around grains, hay, and animal feed products without allergy-related restrictions.
Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Previous warehouse, production, agricultural, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
Forklift experience is a plus but not required.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week, scheduled within operating hours of 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Monday: Between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Required Availability)
Tuesday: Between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Wednesday: Between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Thursday: Between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday: Between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: Between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Required Availability)
Sunday: Closed

Candidates must be available to work Mondays and Saturdays. Exact shifts will be determined based on business needs.

Dress Code & Safety Requirements

Casual work attire, including jeans without holes and plain T-shirts.
Over-the-ankle work boots are required.
No tank tops or jewelry permitted.

Benefits

$18.00/hour starting pay.
