Forklift Operator - 3rd Shift

Location: Waterloo, IA
Pay: $18.00-$20.00/hour
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
Type: Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Forklift Operator to join a local warehouse team. This position is responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the warehouse while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, strong attention to detail, and experience operating material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas
• Move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas
• Perform equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy
• Assist with inventory tracking and material movement documentation
• Organize materials to maximize storage space and accessibility
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous forklift experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Experience with warehouse management software preferred
• Experience operating material handling equipment or willingness to learn
• Must be at least 18 years old to operate heavy equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and move materials as needed
• Ability to safely operate industrial equipment in a warehouse environment
