Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Forklift Operator to work in a busy industrial/manufacturing environment. The Forklift Operator will safely operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and organize materials throughout the facility and will assist with general material handling duties as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move and transport materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, rail cars, and designated storage areas as needed.
• Properly stage and organize materials and products.
• Inspect forklift and equipment before operation and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Safely maneuver equipment in areas with other employees, machinery, and materials.
• Assist with general material handling and warehouse/production duties.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent forklift operating experience required.
• Experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or similar environment preferred.
• Experience operating overhead cranes is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
• Ability to safely operate equipment in a busy industrial environment.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow established procedures.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform material handling duties throughout the workday.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform other physical tasks as required.
• Must be comfortable working in an industrial environment.

Important: Candidates must have at least 1 year of recent forklift operating experience to be considered. Overhead crane and heavy equipment experience will be considered a strong plus.
