Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for routine cleaning and upkeep throughout the facility, including floors, work areas, common areas, and other designated spaces. The work environment is industrial, dirty, and dusty, so candidates must be comfortable working in these conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain floors, production areas, break rooms, restrooms, offices, and other assigned areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and remove dirt, dust, debris, and trash.
• Operate a floor buffing machine and other cleaning equipment.
• Clean and maintain equipment and areas as directed.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning products and notify supervisor when supplies are needed.
• Follow all company safety procedures and proper handling procedures for cleaning products and equipment.
• Assist with general facility cleanup and other janitorial duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working as a janitor in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or similar environment is required.
• Experience operating a floor buffer or similar floor-cleaning equipment preferred.
• Must be comfortable working in a dirty, dusty industrial environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform physical cleaning duties throughout the shift.
• Reliable attendance and dependable work habits are required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding position. The employee must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., remain on their feet for extended periods, and perform repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, sweeping, mopping, and other cleaning activities.

Important: Candidates must have recent, relevant janitorial experience in a similar industrial or manufacturing environment to be considered.
