Position Overview: 

The primary objective is to increase sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients.  Duties may include specify, quote, and sell automated valves, flow meters and the high-tech instrumentation that accompanies field automation projects in the oil and gas industry. You will ensure orders are properly fulfilled, ensure customers’ needs are met, and be committed to working safely. Work daily with customers, vendors, our materials, and operations and service personnel to meet project objectives and exceed customer expectations. 

 

Job Duties:

·         Complete quotations

·         Following up on sales leads

·         Find and develop new opportunities within existing accounts

·         Identify and pursue potential customers and markets

·         Assist in marketing efforts

·         Ensure customer satisfaction

·         Maintain records of activities using Enterprise and Contact Relationship Management software

·         Purchase and negotiate pricing on equipment/supplies from vendors

·         Support the sales team to procure equipment/supplies.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

·         2+ years' experience in inbound support / sales or purchasing (preferred)

·         Experience in the Oil and Gas industry; specifically automation and measurement Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience

·         Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel

·         Experience with Enterprise and Contact Relationship Management software; NetSuite preferred

·         Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

·         Highly organized and disciplined

·         Background of proven technical competence

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers

·         Persuasive and goal-oriented

·         Possess an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor

·         Self-motivated and self-directed

·         Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

·         Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team

 

 

Physical Requirements:

·         Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards

·         Long periods of sitting or standing

·         Frequent light physical effort (i.e., bending, reaching)

·         Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently

·         Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone

·         Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

Typical Working Conditions:

·         Work in a storefront and/or warehouse environment that may be non-climate controlled with minimal safety/health hazard potential
